The RL35R also works with manual controls, including the COAST Variable Light Control dial for precise light-intensity adjustments. The headlamp shines in four colors—white, blue, green, and red—with flood and spot beam options in white mode. Independent switches control the white, blue, and green beams, and a third switch controls the white and red ARC280™ light that glows around the face of the headlamp. At peak power, shine 1100 lumens with a 613-foot beam. Hold the center power switch down for three seconds to prevent accidental power drainage and engage the lockout. The silicone-lined COAST Ultra-Strap™ is made of breathable mesh for long-lasting, non-slip comfort even as it supports the headlamp’s COAST ZITHION-X™ ZX850 rechargeable battery pack at the back. The detachable battery pack features a red rear-facing safety signal that shines in solid or flashing mode for visibility from behind. Outfitted with a USB-C in/out port, the battery can receive power or become a power bank to charge other devices. COAST Rechargeable Plus technology allows the headlamp to run up to 14 hours on one charge or on two CR123 disposable lithium batteries (purchased separately).
