The Makita DHR280Z is a powerful cordless rotary hammer drill with a maximum drilling capacity of 28mm and features a 36v brushless motor powered by 2 x 18v Li-Ion batteries. Brushless motors are more efficient than a brushed motor meaning more run time per battery charge with no maintenance and less heat produced making them more suitable for prolonged use. Anti vibration technology (AVT) along with the "soft no load" function reduce vibration resulting a vibration of just 9.0m/sec m² in rotary hammer mode resulting in a better experience for the user and allowing longer working periods. Other features include constant speed control that increases power to the motor when under load to keep the rpm consistent, an led job light that illuminates the chuck area for improved visibility and a torque limiter that protects the user by isolating rotation in the event the the drill bit snags. This is a 3 mode machine with rotary hammer for drilling concrete up to 28mm, rotary only for drilling wood plastic and steel and hammer only mode for chiselling.
